WHATLEY KALLAS TO FILE AMICUS BRIEF ON BEHALF OF AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION IN CVS/AETNA MERGER CASE

Whatley Kallas has received permission from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to file an amicus brief on behalf of the American Medical Association opposing the proposed merger of CVS and Aetna. While the Department of Justice has asked the court to approve the merger, the American Medical Association believes that the divestitures proposed by the government will reduce, not restore, competition to the market for individual Medicare prescription drug plans. The amicus brief will be filed on March 13, 2019.
