ALABAMA AUTHORIZES THE RESUMPTION OF ELECTIVE MEDICAL AND DENTAL PROCEDURES ON MAY 1, 2020

As reported by AL.com, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey has announced that the state’s current stay at home order will expire on April 30, 2020, and will be replaced by a new order in effect from May 1 – 15, 2020. Under the new order, elective medical and dental procedures that follow COVID-19 guidelines may resume as of May 1, 2020. Retail stores may also reopen subject to COVID-19 guidelines, but gyms, theaters, hair salons, and other services will remain closed for the time being.
