PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION BOARD MEMBER RUSSELL LIBBY, MD DISCUSSES HOW THE PHYSICIANS FOUNDATION HELPS PHYSICIANS USE TELEHEALTH IN A VIDEO POSTED BY MEDICALECONOMICS.COM

MedicalEconomics.com has posted a video in which Russell Libby, MD discusses how the Physicians Foundation is helping physicians use telehealth. Dr. Libby is a pediatrician practicing medicine in northern Virginia and a member of the Board of Directors of the Physicians Foundation. In the video, he briefly describes the Physicians Foundation’s Telehealth Initiative.

The Physicians Foundation is a 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to empower physicians to lead in the delivery of high quality cost-efficient healthcare. It was founded in 2003 as a result of settlement agreements in class action multidistrict litigation filed on behalf of physicians and nineteen state and county medical societies against several of the nation’s large for-profit health insurers. Joe Whatley, Edith Kallas, and other attorneys with Whatley Kallas, LLP represented the physician class and the medical societies in the MDL litigation and negotiated the settlement agreements that resulted in the formation of the Physicians Foundation.
